FMA / CMAA
Fresh Markets Australia (FMA) and the Central Markets Association of Australia (CMAA) are proud trade show partners of PMA Fresh Connections 2016.
Representing Australia’s Fresh Produce Markets, FMA is the national organisation representing each of the six Market Chambers and CMAA is the peak body representing the owners and authorities of the five wholesale markets around Australia, including Brisbane Markets, Market City in Western Australia, Melbourne Markets, the South Australian Produce Market and Sydney Market. FMA and CMAA’s unified goal is to enhance the Central Market System so it is the preferred choice of customers and potential customers seeking the best means of marketing, distributing or acquiring fruit and vegetables in Australia.
Collectively Markets employ several thousand people, handling over 4 million tonnes of fresh produce each year representing a combined turnover of around $7 billion at wholesale prices.
During special events such as Fresh Connections, both organisations come together to embrace the spirit of the event and share its ethos and vision of a stronger, united and more unified industry. By working together, sharing ideas and learning as one, Australia’s fresh produce industry will only grow, develop and be stronger overall.
